Allen Wayne Peek

Mr. Allen Wayne Peek, age 89 of Piedmont, passed away on June 2, 2026, at AdventHealth Redmond Hospital in Rome, GA.

Funeral services will be held at 1PM Saturday, June 06, 2026 at the Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tony Mcain and Bro. Michael Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Cherokee Memory Gardens with the Cherokee County Volunteer Fire Association Honor Guard presenting graveside honors. The family will receive friends from 10am until the service hour at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Juanita Peek; Children, Wanda (David) Woody, Tammy (Frank) Kennington, and Larry (Sheila) Peek; Grandchildren, Alisha (Stacey) Lawson, Justin (Katie) King, Colby Peek, and Josh (Morgan) McBride; Brothers, Dewey (Elenora) Peek and Bryant Peek; Several Great-Grandchildren and a Host of Nieces and Nephews also survive.

Mr. Peek was a native of Cherokee County, the son of the late RB and Venice Mobley Peek. He was preceded in death by his son Dennis Peek, granddaughter Ashley Woody, and Brother Sammy Peek.

Mr. Peek was a life long farmer in Cherokee County and served in the National Guard. He was a founding, charter member of the Spring Garden Fire Department, a member of the Board of Directors of the Cherokee Electric Cooperative and served as a Deacon and member of Liberty Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be members of the Spring Garden Fire Department.
