Cherry Jennings Lecroy

Mrs. Cherry Jennings LeCroy, age 68 of Centre, passed away Thursday, February 20, 2025 at Atrium Health Floyd in Rome, GA.

Funeral services will be held at 3pm Sunday, February 23, 2025 at Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Ted Lowe officiating. Burial will follow in the Cherokee Memory Gardens. The family will be receiving friends from 1 pm until the hour of service at the funeral home. 

Survivors include her children, Jade (Brad) Jacoway, Megg (Jeff) Crane, Jack (Bryant Lundy) LeCroy; Grandchildren, Josh (Kaitilyn) Decker, Jebb Crane, Reid Jacoway, Owen Jacoway, and Liam Jacoway; Great Grandchildren, Ridge and Ripp Decker; Mother, Edna Jo Jennings; Brother, Gifford Jennings; Sister, Vicki (Steve) Beck; Aunts, Claudette Ledbetter, Betty (Billy) Pruitt, Lloyd (Paula) Kerr, Doyle (Annie) Kerr; Nieces, Alex Jennings, Alanna Beck; Nephew, Chris Beck; Several cousins.

Pallbearers are Mrs. LeCroy’s grandsons.

Cherry was a voracious reader and loved books, having her own personal library and had been known to read up to two novels per week. She loved to cook for her family and friends, go fishing, and thoroughly enjoyed bird watching and listening to her music. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Lecroy; Father, Jack Jennings; Children, Clinton and Lyle LeCroy.
