Chester Lee Spires

Mr. Chester Lee Spires, age 37 of Centre, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2026, at AtriumHealth Floyd Cherokee Medical Center.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at the Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Lee is survived by his wife, Brandy Spires; children, Ayden Spires, Landyn Anthony Spires, Dasyn Spires, Emmett Spires, Arabella Spires, Laklyn Anthony Spires, Navy Spires, Jazzylyn Law, Xylyn Law and Phoenix Anthony; precious grandson, Dechlyn Spires; parents, Chester and Cindy Spires; mother-in-law, Tresea St. John; sister, Brittany Flynt; and special friends, Leo Larrosa and his children, Teagan and Emma, Jarod Ingram "JRod", Owen and Aimee Griffith, and Lavonda Burns.

Lee was a graduate of Piedmont High School. After high school, he went to work for Owen Griffith at Griffith Logging. He loved his job and being a logger. His favorite thing to do was to spend time with his family who he was deeply devoted to. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; and special friend Gathan Burns.
