David Allen Nail

Mr. David Allen Nail, age 65 of Leesburg, passed away on May 17, 2026, at his residence.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 24,2026 at Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Jeremy Deaton officiating. Burial will follow at Longshore Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Survivors include his brothers, Danny Nail, Richard Nail and Jamie Nail; sisters, Brenda Hasty and Rose Helms. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Family will serve as pallbearers. was born in Centre, AL to the late Milton and Mary Nail. David loved to hunt, fish and cook (best chicken and dressing). He would give the shirt off his back but would always put people in their place.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Mary Gautney Nail, and his sisters Betty Abernathy, Peggy Stone, Helen Nail, and Bessie Awtrey.

The family will be accepting flowers or donations to help cover funeral cost.
