Dixie Hunter

Mrs. Dixie Hunter, age 71 of Centre, passed away on June 24, 2025 at her residence.
Funeral services for Dixie will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Brett Clements and Bro. Tim Deaton officiating. Burial will follow in the Hebron of Key Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 11 am until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
Dixie is survived by her husband, Calvin Hunter; Son, Scott (Mandy) Hunter; Daughter, Kim Hunter; Granddaughters, Kaitlyn Coheley (Bailey Kutsch), Kayleigh Hunter, Kenzie Hunter (Kagan Henderson); Great-granddaughter, Blakeleigh Kutsch; Brother, Robert (Debra) Hudgins; Sister-in-law, Kathy Hunter; Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Pallbearers will be Nick Whorton, Jacob Hunter, Josh Hunter, Bailey Kutsch, Kagan Henderson, Chris Hunter, and Bailey Hunter.
After the passing of her parents, Rev. Gordon "Red" and Cecil Hudgins, Dixie became the confidant of her family, always willing to listen and give her advice on any situation.
She is preceded in death by her sisters, Joan Hudgins and Mary Welchel.
