Howard "Tink" Pruitt

Mr. Howard "Tink" Pruitt, age 69 of Geraldine, passed away on May 2, 2026, at his residence. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 8, 2026, at the Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Thomas Aaron Pruitt officiating. Burial will follow at Gnatville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

He is survived by his son, Chris Pruitt; grandchildren, Shawn Pruitt, Madison Pruitt, Hunter Pruitt, Austin Pruitt and Lacey Collins; siblings, Fuzzy Pruitt, Ruby June Pruitt and Freida Pruitt; several nieces and nephews; special friend and caregiver, Jesika Chitwood; and step daughter, Charlene Smith.

Pallbearers will be Brian Chitwood, Buck Pruitt, Steve Pruitt, Lewis Taylor, Tyler Carroll and Clyde Lankford. Honorary pallbearers will be Dalton Gaddy, Jesse Pruitt and Dustin Coffee.

Tink was born in Anniston, Alabama, on August 1, 1956, to the late Hoyt and Ruby Pruitt. He loved his family and enjoyed hunting and fishing throughout his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hoyt and Ruby Pruitt; brother, Hoyt Lewis "Bull" Pruitt, Jr.; and infant sister, Joan Estelle Pruitt.
