Mr. James Alfred Campbell, age 90 of Gaylesville, passed away on April 29, 2026, at his residence. 

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. 

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Barbara Norris Campbell; children, Robin Campbell and Ricky (Sheryl) Campbell; granddaughters, Lyndsy "Mandi" Ramey and Megan Rathburn; great grandchildren, Addison and Caydence Ramey, Noah, Avery, and Colton Rathburn; Several nieces and nephews also survive. 

James was a loving husband, father, and grandaddy. He served in the U.S. Army and later retired from Cherokee Electric Co-op after many years of service. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Jewell (Jones) Campbell; daughter, Babbie Joy Campbell; and grandson, Joshua Rathburn.
