Robert Lee Stewart, Jr. (Bob), age 68, of Centre, Alabama, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2025. Born on December 4, 1956, in Baltimore, Maryland, he was a devoted husband, a loving father, and grandfather.

Bob was a hard-working and dedicated employee. He retired from Marriott Hotels after a successful 34-year career in hotel management. He concluded his career with White Lodging Hotel Company before retiring to his beloved Weiss Lake. He was known for his quick wit, strong will, steadfast determination, and attention to detail. He had a strong loyalty to work, but he always made time for his family and friends.

Bob was a man of integrity, kindness, love, understanding, and constant grace; he left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. He enjoyed fishing, old westerns, and classic rock and roll. His passion for fishing was something he shared with his children and grandchildren, leaving a mark that will never fade.

He is survived by his wife, Ellen Stewart, daughters, Nikki (Nathan) Varn, Alex (Dustin) Carson, Morgan (Cody) Lanman; grandchildren, Daven Varn, Grady Varn, Anslee Varn, Zion Carson, Ana Carson, Noah Carson, Asher Carson, Ford Lanman, as well as many friends and extended family members who will miss him dearly.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Weiss Lake Improvement Association.

We find comfort in knowing that Bob's legacy lives on through the lessons he taught us, the love he shared, and the memories we will cherish forever.
