Mrs. Tamara Kay Ellzey, age 63 of Cedar Bluff, passed away peacefully at her residence on Monday, September 21.

Tamara was born in Lapeer, Michigan, to Charlotte Coutcher and the late David Trim.

She was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud soldier, engineer, and faithful Christian. Of all her accomplishments, one of her most treasured was serving as an officer in the United States Army.

Tamara had a deep love for the beauty of nature. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, and landscaping, taking great pride in creating beautiful surroundings. She also had an immense love for animals, especially her beloved dogs, who brought her great joy and companionship.

Tamara will be remembered for the many roles she carried throughout her life-a soldier, engineer, wife, mother, and devoted pet lover-but most of all, for her Christian faith and the love she shared with those around her.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Donald Ellzey Jr.; son, Cody Fry; sister, Rebecca Sanders; brothers, Dan Trim and Mark Trim; stepbrother, Jeffery; and a host of extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, David Trim; sons, Richard Murphy and Timothy Murphy; daughter, Toni Williamson; and brother, Wade Trim; sister, Dawn Glascow.

Tamara's memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her faith, her service, her love of family, her passion for nature, and her compassion for animals will be remembered as lasting parts of the beautiful life she lived.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
