William "Billy" Cook

Mr. William “Billy” Cook, age 65 of Centre, passed away Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Atrium Health Floyd in Rome, GA.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Survivors include his wife, Regina Cook; Daughter, Michelle (Corey) Conley; Step-son, Joshua Neal; Grandchildren, Destiny, Katlyn, Candance, and Steven Freeman; 13 great grandchildren; Siblings, Angie Stone, David Cook; Nieces and nephews, Ashley (Brian) Riddle, DJ (Paige) Cook, Josh (Leta) Cook; Elizabeth (Nathan) Hawkins, Allie Thornton, Will Upchurch, Justin (Casey) Cook; Aunts and uncles, Linda Perkins, Walker (Patty) Miller, Vickey (Dan) Bailey, Susan English, Ann Warren; Mother-in-law, Virginia Ward; Brother-in-law, Terry Clayton; Sister-in-law, Cathy Van Collie.

Billy was born in Atlanta, GA to the late Eugene and May Miller Cook. He worked in construction for some time before retiring. He enjoyed fishing and tending to his garden, having a notable “green thumb”.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Morris Eugene and May Miller Cook.
